I discovered from Gleb Alexandrov an awesome application (open source like Blender. Yay!) called Mandelbulber. It's a ton of fun, and this is what I've made with it. I highly recommend this application. It's a ton of fun. Working inside of it is a lot like dreaming. It's pretty psychedelic.
